PHDs OF THE FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES

CALLS FOR APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO PHD PROGRAMMES 39th Cycle – 2023-2024 academic year

The research doctorate (PhD) is the highest level of the Italian academic system which enables to develop the skills required to carry out high-quality research activities. The PhD programme is open to graduates holding a master’s or equivalent degree of the old academic system by means of a competition. The duration of a PhD programme is three years; upon completion of each year, doctoral students are admitted to the following one with the prior favourable report of the Doctoral Programme Committee; the programme ends with the presentation of a final dissertation on an original paper to be discussed before a committee. Any documentation required, the test dates and venue as well as their performance procedures and assessment criteria will be indicated on the webpage of each PhD programme.
